ESPN FOAM TABLE TENNIS ANYONE?

ENDLESS GAMES PARTNERS WITH WORLDWIDE LEADER IN SPORTS TO PUT “ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYONE TENNIS” BACK ON THE TABLE

South Amboy, NEW JERSEY – January 28, 2009– Endless Games, America’s classic board game specialist, announced today the development of the ESPN The Official Foam Table Tennis Set.  The game will be showcased – and ready for play– at the upcoming New York Toy Fair in February 2009, with shipment ready for June.

Table tennis was created in the late 19th Century as a playful outlet to bring tennis indoors.  In the 1970’s, table tennis was at the forefront of two major social revolutions.  Following exhibition matches with US players in China, “ping pong diplomacy” opened the doors for President Nixon’s historic visit.  Likewise, electronic table tennis – in the form of Atari’s Pong, released in 1972 – is recognized as the first video game to achieve significant commercial success.  Today, table tennis is the largest participation sport in the world; according to the International Olympic Committee, which made table tennis an Olympic sport 20 years ago, over 40 million people play competitively worldwide.

“The recent surge in the popularity of table tennis – as attested by the thousands of fans celebrating their passion in Yahoo, MeetUp and Facebook groups; the opening of several dedicated table tennis clubs throughout New York City; celebrity involvement, including Susan Sarandon, Owen Wilson and 50 Cent; and ongoing media coverage for the sport – makes the case why foam table tennis is a can’t-miss, Top 10 game for 2009,” says Brian Turtle, National Sales Director for Endless Games.  “Simply put, people of all ages, nationalities, gender and even political affiliation are meeting in apartments, dorm rooms, clubs, pool halls, laundry rooms, etc. to get in on the fun.”

ESPN The Official Foam Table Tennis Set includes all of the fun, excitement and action of traditional table tennis.  Best of all, anyone can play it – anytime and anywhere – as players can turn almost any surface in to a tournament-worthy court.  The set is comprised of an adjustable, plastic net that snaps together in seconds, free of any clamps, screws or brackets, and the foam ball and soft plastic paddles make it safe to play indoors and out.

ESPN The Official Foam Table Tennis Set from Endless Games has an MSRP of $14.99, and is recommended for ages eight and up.

X-CETER-OENDS CENTURIES OF

TIC-TAC-TOE FRUSTRATION

ENDLESS GAMES ELIMINATES DREADED TIC-TAC-TOE TIE

South Amboy, NEW JERSEY – January 28 09 – Endless Games, America’s classic board game specialist, announced the debut of X-Ceter-O, an enhanced version of the much beloved game of Tic-Tac-Toe where somebody always wins.  This simple to play yet addictive game will be introduced at the upcoming New York Toy Fair in February 2009, with shipment ready for June.

Tic-Tac-Toe, otherwise known around the world as Noughts and Crosses, X’s and O’s, and Hugs and Kisses, requires only pencil and paper, and is an easy game to learn and play.  Mathematicians have even determined that the game offers an astounding 255,168 possible winning game combinations, yet “best play” for the game almost always ends in a tie, making it a game suitable only for very young children.

To make it fun for all ages, X-Ceter-O puts an imaginative twist on the classic game, drawing inspiration from the ancient “Three Men’s Morris” stone game and incorporating elements of chess and other strategy games.  Every set includes six magnetic game pieces – three O’s marked “1”, “3” and “5” and three X’s marked “2”,”4” and “6” – along with the familiar 3x3 game board grid. The pieces are played in numerical order – that is, the “O” marked “1” goes first, followed by the “X” marked  “2”, and so on. Once the six pieces are on the board, play continues in sequential fashion, with each move exposing the now-vacated square to the opponent.  The action ends only when the first player to achieve the once-unthinkable, three-in-a-row combination, wins the game.

X-Ceter-O is the latest addition to Endless Games popular “Quick Picks” line of affordable, travel-sized, family games.  It has an MSRP of $9.99 and is recommended for ages seven and up.

QUACKGAMMONTM TAKES FLIGHT

WITH FAMILY-FRIENDLY BACKGAMMON ADAPTATION

If it looks like a classic board game, plays fun for the whole family, and sounds affordably priced, it must be

Endless Games all-new Quackgammon.

South Amboy, NEW JERSEY –January 28, 2009 – Endless Games, America’s classic board game specialist, announced the debut of Quackgammon, a family-friendly variation of backgammon.  The never-before-seen travel game will be introduced at the upcoming New York Toy Fair in February 2009, with shipment ready for June.

Quackgammon is a simpler version of classic backgammon, designed for quick-play that can be enjoyed by the whole family, including young children.  A couple of fun facts that distinguish this version, among others, and make it a sure Top 10 board game for 2009:

Ø     SMALL FLOCK OF FLYING FOWL:  Each backgammon player moves his or her 15 checkers (also known historically as stones, men, counters, pawns, or chips) around the traditional board; in Quackgammon, each player moves his or her flock of three “mallards” around a peaceful lake.

Ø     SAFETY IN NUMBERS:  Rather than gaining protection by having multiple checkers on one specific “point”, Quackgammon fowl are instead protected by staying positioned next to each other.  Otherwise, that fowl is quite simply a sitting duck.

Quackgammon  is part of Endless Games popular “Quick Picks” line of affordable, travel-sized, family games.  It has an MSRP of $9.99 and is recommended for ages eight and up.

ENDLESS GAMES GOES “PRIME TIME” AS TV’s MOST POPULAR NEW GAME SHOW GOES BACK ON AIR

South Amboy, NEW JERSEY – November 25, 2008 – Endless Games, America’s classic board game specialist, announced the debut of Million Dollar Password, a board game based on the number one game show on TV last summer. The game is available starting Friday, November 28 at Target and other specialty stores in time for the holiday season.

CBS revived the popular Password game show as Million Dollar Password last summer. The show was hosted by Who Wants to be a Millionaire and daytime talk show veteran Regis Philbin, and averaged more than ten million viewers. Season two returns to CBS on December 21 with host Philbin, and celebrities William Shatner and Aisha Tyler in the first episode, helping contestants win one million dollars.

X-CETER-O™ UPGRADES TIC-TAC-TOE FOR “BIG KIDS” ENDING THE CHANCE OF A TIE SCORE

Now A Winner Every Time In This Classic Game Of Three-In-A-Row

Freehold, NJ (November 25, 2009) – During this hectic holiday season, there’s probably nothing more simple and fun to play than the traditional pencil-and-paper game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Little eyes light up when they realize they have beaten their opponent with three X’s in a row. But what happens when they grow up to be 7 or 8 (or 40) and it seems like they always end the game in an unsatisfying tie. With just six moves, there’s always that darn stalemate. But not anymore!

Endless Games, makers of classic board games, introduced X-Ceter-O™ (pronounced like etc.) earlier this year to the delight of serious tic-tac-toe players. With this clever game, the fun continues to 7 or 8 or 9 moves until a winner is declared. There’s never a tie! At just $14.99, it’s an affordable family game that can be played anytime, anywhere and with anyone!

The concept is a simple one. In addition to the typical strategy of placing an X or O on the corner, edge or center square to make three-in-a-row, players continue the game past the stalemate. The O pieces are numbered “1”, “3” and “5” while the X pieces are numbered “2”, “4” and “6.” Players place their Xs and Os as usual, but in numerical order. O always goes first and moves the “1” piece. When the first six moves are exhausted, O moves his “1” again to any open space. X again maneuvers his “2” and so on. The fun continues until someone wins – and they always do!

X-Ceter-O • Ages: 7+ • $14.99
This clever Tic-Tac-Toe game allows the fun to continue after the first 6 moves so there’s no possibility of ending in a tie. Each game box included a board with 9 squares, 3 “O” game pieces and 3 “X” pieces, each numbered for chronological play. Complete instructions are included.
