BOARD GAME SPECIALIST PRESCRIBES PROVEN, LOW COST REMEDY TO INCREASE FUN, REDUCE STRESS.
Reviewed for 2010, High School Students, Under $10 – Can't get enough re-runs of Password on the Gameshow Network? Play it at home with your friends and family! Memory a little hazy? Password is the classic word association game that puts communication skills o the test.
Teams of two go head-to-head to see who can guess the secret password first. But be choosy with your one word clues because the fewer the clues given to guess the password, the higher the score. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins! This classic game flexes vocabulary muscles, just in time for SAT brush-up, and shows off communication clout. Perfect for parties!
Now A Winner Every Time In This Classic Game Of Three-In-A-Row
Freehold, NJ (November 25, 2009) – During this hectic holiday season, there’s probably nothing more simple and fun to play than the traditional pencil-and-paper game of Tic-Tac-Toe. Little eyes light up when they realize they have beaten their opponent with three X’s in a row. But what happens when they grow up to be 7 or 8 (or 40) and it seems like they always end the game in an unsatisfying tie. With just six moves, there’s always that darn stalemate. But not anymore!
Endless Games, makers of classic board games, introduced X-Ceter-O™ (pronounced like etc.) earlier this year to the delight of serious tic-tac-toe players. With this clever game, the fun continues to 7 or 8 or 9 moves until a winner is declared. There’s never a tie! At just $14.99, it’s an affordable family game that can be played anytime, anywhere and with anyone!
The concept is a simple one. In addition to the typical strategy of placing an X or O on the corner, edge or center square to make three-in-a-row, players continue the game past the stalemate. The O pieces are numbered “1”, “3” and “5” while the X pieces are numbered “2”, “4” and “6.” Players place their Xs and Os as usual, but in numerical order. O always goes first and moves the “1” piece. When the first six moves are exhausted, O moves his “1” again to any open space. X again maneuvers his “2” and so on. The fun continues until someone wins – and they always do!
X-Ceter-O • Ages: 7+ • $14.99
This clever Tic-Tac-Toe game allows the fun to continue after the first 6 moves so there’s no possibility of ending in a tie. Each game box included a board with 9 squares, 3 “O” game pieces and 3 “X” pieces, each numbered for chronological play. Complete instructions are included.
